Review:
Seiken Densetsu: Legend of Mana - The Teardrop Crystal
Genre: Adventure
Source Material: Base off the PS game with the same name from the "Mana" series that's from Square Enix
Studio ('s'): Graphinica and Yokohama Animation Lab.
Produce-ment done by Square Enix + Warner Bros. Japan, amongst a few others.

Studio Graphinica is known for anime like Shuumatsu no Walküre (Record of Ragnarok), Hello World movie, and such. Also collab with others to make Hellsing Ultimate, this years anime of Mu Luv Alternate S2, Tokyo Mew Mews New, and Cue.

Studio Animation Lab is known for Lapis Re:LiGHTs (which was real good for idol like anime,) also known for these short delight anime's, both seasons of Getsuyoubi no Tawawa (Tawawa on Monday), Miru Tights.

Anyways enough of the general info, now onto personal thoughts.
As far adaptions go which in all honesty I've never played these games, let alone heard of them, or for all that matter never own a PS. But this was good at first but got confusing and dry. Also to mention the fact that Shiloh was just annoying on him just standing around and watching things happen, he's weak AF and didn't do much.
The other characters stood out more than anything.

As animation goes, it was average like playing a old school game which is probably why it came from a game, but the art was good. The OP and ED were excellent (especially the OST ^^) But this ending ep showed bad quality from bad power point to it's cut outs like it was just rush just to finish and start the next thing (which was a absolute turn off), Aside that the ending was just ehhhhhh and no one really died. The VA's were good but lacking on a few and was a snooze.

My rating is 5/10, And IK there are better game adapted anime's are better than this but i'm not gonna call this trash unlike that crappy ninja show that aired this season.

No one died is to be expected tbh but MC literally has no meaning to the plot because Sandra will be the final core, Serafina will cried to Sandra for her mother-like figure, which lead to revived all gems either way. It seems Sandra ways of doing thing will lead to happiness, meanwhile Shiloh just obstructed them like an antagonist rather that protagonist. With how everything played out, Shiloh is like an antagonist without us knowing it.

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

lol sandra was the true hero

IStandAlone Roronoa Zoro • 1 year ago

Making the bitch a hero...sounds about right in anime today. Despite her doing all the killings and the trash talking...feminism at its best.

vovan1 • 1 year ago

5/10, the Opening, it had nostalgic vibe.
The start had unique plant creatures and unearthly worlds, which should've been explored. Instead we get speed run through most locations. Having our whole party finished off by 2 villains and bad CGI. My guess this should've stayed as game.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

I quite agree with that last part.

lawda • 1 year ago

my rating is -5 /10 no plot , no meaning , worst screen play , trash

Astolfo-kun • 1 year ago

Still fine after being impaled by a spear

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

those abs saved him

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Yep XD

Carlos Sánchez • 1 year ago

after actually watching the episode, I don't think they're fine, they both died, that after credits scene feels more symbolic, in a "their hearts found their way back home" kind of way

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

Beholds the power of MC.

Dante: First time?

Monkey D. Luna • 1 year ago

this is definitely the highlight of the show. i just wanna see shiloh get screwed.

STAX • 1 year ago

Woah, this story needs a hell of a lot more context.
Gotta love being stabbed through the gut by a massive spear from the person you're in love with.
This show certainly is.

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

I feel like the ran out of time so they just tossed everything into this episode

Mega-Chad-Type-Hero • 1 year ago

I actually did not get the impression that Shiloh & Serafina were in love or fell in love or anything, although it did look like Serafina was conflicted & tearing up about her decision to stab him, perhaps she was the one who had feelings for him, although it seemed less for romantic-reasons & more for some other reason(s) that I cannot think up (a) word(s) for right now, but, if that was really the case (the case of both being in-love with each other), then, a final kiss whilst both being simultaneously turned into stone would have certainly sealed a lovers' scene that would most-certainly have been literally...: Set In Stone...

So in the end Shiloh and Seraphina end up together? 🗿 this anime i don't know what to say but a bit cringe for me hahahahaha🗿

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Quality sucks in this ep

Faramir38 • 1 year ago

I don't know anything about the game, I just watched until the end cuz I liked the fantasy theme and most of the design.. but the mc kind sucked, his is just another flat "super good person" character that really didn't do anything useful on the story. He just kept running around like a drank coach-roach and only failed everything, started weak and ended weak, only his death was necessary at the end for the story.

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

It seems Serafina's tear is enough to revived all gems tbh because she would cried for her mother-like figure anyways. MC is trash, too good will to the level of disgusting, and no development of his character at all, dude is the same suck at fighting until the end. His whole character basically just to slow the progress to revived all gems faster. And the show even show that Sandra's way of doing thing will lead to positive ending either way with how final core would be Sandra.

feels like we ran out of time

yap

Maverick • 1 year ago

Finally, they used Anika Ljunberg's version(original) as ending. That's a nice finishing touch and a nostalgia

thiago pereira • 1 year ago

WTF, i don't like this

james trenton • 1 year ago

this is one of the worst stories ive ever had the displeasure of seeing. on top of that everyone seems to be coming to the wrong conclusion about the ending here. the jumi did not come back after the monster ate all the cores. infact elazul and florina died after it consumed sandras core.
they didn't come back until crylow and back stabber started crying and turned to stone and after they turned to stone those last two tears turned to teardrop crystals and brought everyone back.

once again shilo preformed his signature move of crying but this time it actually did something positive. all this killing, murdering, and back stabbing for nothing. all they really needed was turn crylo into a shish kabab & boom. reborn jumi.
sandras intent this whole time was to just save florina at that and have her make more jumi anyways. disgusting.

Get ready for my signature move... ULTIMATE CRY ATTACK

Fayt Leingod • 1 year ago

they rush it on 12 episode...srsly they can make add 1 more to flesh it out the story but....

LegoOnTheGroundYouMissed • 1 year ago

Wholesome man but sad its already over

Monkey D. Luna • 1 year ago

I've always been on Sandra and Serafina's side...just becoz I f00kin' hate that lame-ass MC and Ruri. 4/10

Salty dude • 1 year ago

I finished the anime but everything about it makes me feel really unsatisfied like never before.

Zuriel Arts • 1 year ago

The anime didn't do the game any justice. I remember bawling to the final scene of the Jumi arc as a kid. The first time I entered Bejeweled City, the song gave me chills. There was no voice acting, but the narrative and scenes are powerful enough for a kid to cry.

Well, this was just a trip to memory lane for the game fans. Thank god they used the tracks from the game, and the original song by Annika at the end was a nice touch. Wish it were adapted properly though, the source material was so good, what a shame :(

"Tell the people one of our strongest guardians has betrayed them that'll calm them down"

???

Silay Göktan • 1 year ago

In the game MC can destroy everything!(i remember when play ps1 version i can kill fcking darkness dragon lol )But in this anime MC is just "NYA! UwU!"

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

because in the game you leveled up with anime MC ran from all the fights so he is still lvl 3

David Anthony Hart • 1 year ago

Would have been better if the MC had his head chopped off & spiked off the ground

Deus The Great • 1 year ago

He should died, dude is too dumb and too good to the level of annoyance.

Roger Duval • 10 months ago

anime in 2022 all males MC must be wimpy weakling and all females MC are badass amazoness true warriors.
I miss my Golgo 13 and Cobra.

toling54 • 1 year ago

No next arc :v

lawda • 1 year ago

this arc is not viewable never watching this studios anime

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

so at the end of the day sandra was the hero of the jumi and seiloh lost most of his fights

Aeris Capella • 1 year ago

Sandra wasn't a hero, she literally committed genocide to revive 1 person.

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

but at the end of the day she revived all the jumi while shiloh tried to stop her

Aezardeiuzz • 1 year ago

Good thing MC died as a weak-a$$ s#it! The last part I don't care😆. Thank God I endured untill the end. 4/10

Azureink • 1 year ago

I'm happy everyone got a heartwarming end.

That was a fun little game.

Delu • 1 year ago

No replaying of Darkness Nova nor a fight with the Lord of Jewels 999 and 1000 what a letdown.

As expected.

Divine demon GOD Aris • 1 year ago

sandra had to run away quickly before the jumi recognized her and tried to execute her

Asagrimmr • 1 year ago

Call this show the alphabet because it ends on a Z

Big Banana • 1 year ago

The king repairs the core but he cant make a teardrop, it should be from a Jumi or someone who will cry for the Jumi.

lawda • 1 year ago

if this anime is useless , then game is also useless
